下記資料で各宗教団体（主にキリスト教関連）発行の統計名や、統計の探し方を参照。

資料の検索や確認には次を使用した。
※日本語での検索では「ハワイ」+「宗教名　統計」、「日系」、「教団」、

宗教団体によっては、1825年までデータを遡れる場合があるが、
ハワイ諸島における宗教の包括的な調査は1972年まで実施されなかった。

1825～1972年に実施された統計調査のうち、各宗教の信者数を抜粋したものが掲載されている。
ご質問の期間に該当する統計は、1926年度分のカトリック教会のみ。

3. ハワイ州の移民について

“While during the last century, prior to annexation, official Hawaiian censuses obtained information on the religious identity of the population, the data did not apply to the growing Oriental population, and since 1900 the U.S. practice of not asking people about their religion has prevailed.……It is my conviction that in regard to three groups, the Chinese, Japanese, and Hawaiians including Part Hawaiians, ……coming to about three-fifths of the total population, would identify themselves religiously.”
上記によれば、
・ハワイ併合前の国勢調査の結果にハワイに移住した東洋人のデータが含まれていない。
・1900年以降のアメリカでは宗教に関する質問を避ける風潮があった。
・このような政府統計から中国人、日本人などの移民、ハワイアン（パート・ハワイアンを含む）の
3つのグループに関する統計はほぼ入手できない、または宗教的なことは何もわからない。
とのことである。

また、
“Official statistics by religious bodies on the Japanese affiliated with them are unavailable for most Japanese Christians, or not very meaningful, for Japanese Buddhists and Shintoists. There is a traditional lack of concern on the part of Buddhist temples over membership statistics, and when statistics are provided they often refer to families or family heads instead of to individuals, or to membership in temple organizations, such as women’s clubs and Sunday schools.”
とあり、各宗教団体の記録から日本人関連の統計は入手が難しいか、意味のないものである模様。
特に仏教寺院は統計調査への関心が欠如しており、たとえ調査していたとしても、
サンプルが個人ではなく家族や世帯主、日曜学校などの会員を指す場合が多く、正確さに欠けるとのこと。

ここまでに得た情報をまとめると次の通り。

・ご質問の時期に行われた国勢調査では宗教に関する調査が行なわれていない
（政府統計から各宗教の信者・信徒数を確認できない）。
・各宗教団体の記録から、信者・信徒数の統計を入手できる可能性はあるものの、
様々な要因で記録が正確でない、または記録自体が無い可能性がある。
